Welcome to DAWCWR, Inc.

DAWCWR, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit animal clinic with the following goals:

  • Establish a low cost wellness center for the pets in the community.
  • Rescue and transport sick, orphaned and injured wildlife in
    our area.
  • Provide educational programs teaching the public about wildlife
    and proper animal care.

At the end of the day, we want to offer a tangible example of compassion and humane ethics for all living creatures.

Thank you to our donors

The holidays are coming…

… and that means holiday events! We will be joining forces with The Siren Pet Store for a holiday fund-raiser on Saturday, December 13, 10am-3pm. Held at the pet store (24647 State Road Wisconsin 35), it will be a day of fun activities, pet pictures with Santa, and holiday shopping. Benefits will help DAWCWR, Inc. and the Humane Society of Burnett County.

Wildlife transportation volunteers needed

We are looking for volunteers to help transport injured and orphaned wildlife from the clinic to either the Raptor Center in St. Paul or the Wildlife Center in Roseville. A fuel stipend is available for those volunteers that need it. Please contact Barb at the clinic at 715-349-4774.
